Sinopsis :

Academic English helps people who want to learn English better especially for those who want to have better understanding and knowledge about English in academic context. It is covering three main parts like speaking, reading, and grammar. In every part of Academic English consists of practice, and theory. It also consists of exercises that can sharpen learners’ comprehension on the topic they learned.

The speaking part provides sample of conversation on various topics. After each conversation there are explanations about some expressions and the context of using those expressions. At the end of this part, exercised in form of cases as the topic of conversation to perform.

Then, the grammar part provides some material that are used for daily interaction. This part consists of explanation of how to construct sentences with proper grammar. This part is also provided with exercise inform of multiple choice and error analysis questions.

The last part is reading. This part is aimed at increasing the learners’ ability to comprehend an academic text. It consists of topics of learning such as understanding topic, main idea, and supporting detail. The text provided in this part is a real context text taken from various sources of news in internet. This book has color pictures that can increase people’s motivation in learning more about English.
